The Brush Country Chapter of Umpires was founded in 2007 by Glenn Poppe, Eddie Rodriguez, and 23 other members to service the Brush Country area south & west of San Antonio including Laredo, Eagle Pass, Del Rio,
and almost everything in between.
We are one the largest in surface area coverage, if not the largest, TASO Chapter covering more than 13,000 square miles, 36 schools, and a health membership of gracious, faithful, and baseball-loving umpires‼
A Word from the President, 2020-2021
"As we prepare for what we hope to be a full season of baseball for 2021, please keep in mind those we have lost and those who have suffered, both directly and indirectly from the pandemic. You and your families will remain in our thoughts and prayers when we take the field this year. I want to thank all of you who have remained loyal to Brush Country and have worked hard to overcome so many challenges over the last year. You have sown the seeds of success and healing as we move forward into the 2021 season. Once again, I can't begin to say how proud I am to be a part of a great group of people, not just umpires. May God watch over us and keep us safe throughout the coming season."
Many thanks and regards,
A Word from the President, 2019-2020
"On behalf of the Brush Country Baseball Chapter and the Board of Directors, I want to wish each of you and your families/loved ones safety and good health during these challenging times with the pandemic. We Thanks to each of you for being a part of the chapter, and for the sacrifices you and your families make to support both the chapter and this great game, especially during these trying times. May God bless us, look over us and grant us perseverance over the coming months.
With deepest respect and regards,
A Word from the President, 2018-2019
"As we wrap up a busy and successful 2018 season, we excitedly look forward to the 2019 season. I want to wish each of you, your families, loved ones and friends blessings and success in the coming year.
I hope each of you are able to find some time to relax, and enjoy the offseason as we already begin preparations for next season...there is no season like the off-season.
I can't begin to say how proud I am to not only represent you, but to work with you and enjoy the many friendships and fellowship we develop in the course of pursuing this passion known as officiating!"
